FAQs

How are lash extensions applied, and how long does it take?

A full set of lash extensions can take between 1.5-3.5 hours to apply. The length of time depends on the style of lashes you’re getting.
Getting lash extensions done is a very relaxing procedure! Most of our clients take “lash naps” as they lounge with their eyes closed on our heated lash beds. During your appointment, your lash artist will be delicately isolating your natural lashes with a pair of tweezers and applying eyelash extensions or handmade volume fans with adhesive to your natural lashes.

Why do you need to get lash fills every 2-3 weeks?

Eyelash extensions are a semi-permanent service and therefore they will shed and fall out overtime and you will need a lash fill. Eyelash extensions last on average between 2 – 4 weeks depending on the person, this is because everyone’s natural eyelashes grow and shed at different speeds. When you come in for your lash fill appointments, your lash artist will remove the overgrown eyelash extensions and replace them with new ones.

How do I care for my new lash extensions?

To maintain your lash extensions, at-home aftercare is extremely important!

At the end of your first appointment in our studio, your lash artist will go over the Step-by-Step aftercare instructions. She will educate you on how to wash your lashes and the Do’s & Dont’s of taking care of your eyelash extensions. You will also be given a take-home handout that has all the aftercare instructions in case you forget anything or have any questions.

As a client of ours we educate you on how to properly maintain your lash extensions by avoiding all oil-based products near the eye area as well as any mascaras, lash curlers, eye makeup remover wipes. When choosing eyeliners use only powder eyeliners or water-based liquid eyeliners. If you have any questions on if a product is lash extension friendly, please call or message.
For your convenience, we sell eyelash extension lash bath and cleansing brushes which are formulated for Lash Extensions.

We advise you to make sure you wash your lashes the evening of your full set or any lash fill appointment, before bed, using the Lash Bath from our studio. However, until you wash your lashes that evening, please keep them free of moisture, sweat, make-up or tears, steam bath, or direct water spray.

Aftercare Step-by-Step Cleansing Instructions:
Step 1 – Shake Lash Bath bottle
Step 2 – Wet Lash Cleansing Brush
Step 3 – Pump soap on to eyelash line and lid
Step 4 – Using brush, cleanse side to side (windshield wiper motion) and up and down
Step 5 – Rinse brush in clean water
Step 6 – Using brush, repeat rinsing lashes and lid until all soap is gone
Step 7 – Let lashes air dry
Step 8 – When dry, use lash Spoolie to brush lashes into place

Daily -Wash your lashes in the morning & before bedtime.

Pro Tip – Wash your lashes anytime your lashes have sweat, tears, sunscreen, lake or ocean water or chlorine on them. Washing is crucial to avoid build-up, irritations or infections.

Please be sure to wash your lashes before your lash appointment. Lash extensions bond best to natural lashes when they are nice and clean. This will also save time for your lash artist, who will then have more time to apply lash extensions during your appointment.

Following all of these aftercare instructions will help you have longer-lasting lashes!

What happens if you do not cleanse your eyelash extensions?

Improper cleansing or avoiding cleansing all together will cause problems resulting in your lashes not lasting as long as they should. Not cleansing regularly or correctly also leads to potential infections, irritations, poor lash health/growth.

Do Eyelash Extensions damage your natural lashes?

The biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own lashes. They do not. If applied correctly and properly, they are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes.

Can I wear Strip Lash Eyelashes over my eyelash extensions?

No. This is not advised because the glue you use to apply your strip lashes to your eyes will be near impossible to remove from between your lashes and extensions. You may think that you have removed all the glue and disposed of any evidence but your lash artist will notice right away, and won’t be happy. Your lash artist will need to remove all of the built up, messy glue which will cut into your appointment time. This could take half an hour or even more and they may not be able to remove it all. If you want fuller lashes, you should talk to your lash artist about upgrading your next appointment to volume lashes.

Can I work out, swim, and shower with my lash extensions?

You bet! The best part about lash extensions is that they look perfect no matter what the activity. We highly recommend you carefully follow our aftercare instructions directly after each activity to make sure the sweat, chlorine or salt water are cleansed away to avoid build up.

Can I apply mascara on my lash extensions?

No. We strongly recommend you avoid wearing any kind of mascara because the tars and oils it contains will damage the bonds of the extensions. Mascara sticks and coats the extensions causing the lash fans to close permanently.

When is a Consultation/Patch test necessary?

A consultation is a great way to meet the lash artist and ask any questions you have concerning lash extensions.
If you have had a previous reaction from another lash establishment and want to have a patch test. We recommend a consultation when you tend to have sensitivities to beauty or makeup products.

What is a Lash Lift?

A lash lift is a procedure done without the use of extensions. During the process, your natural lashes will be curled and lifted with the use of a silicon rod that is applied to your lid and a lash lift solution. Lasts for 6-8 weeks.

Pro Tip – If your natural brow shade is a blonde or light brown, you can add a lash tint to your service which will really make your lashes pop.

What is a Brow Lamination?

A Brow lamination is a 2 step process that helps change the direction of your eyebrow hairs to achieve a fuller and fluffier look. You can also add a brow tint to the process to complete the transformation.

Pro Tip – If you currently trim your brow hairs, we suggest you let your brows grow without any tweezing or trimming for at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
